Relacart MAS-D: Make your speech easier and freer

In the vast majority of conference rooms, gooseneck microphones are used to capture the voice.

For years they have been a great solution partner and their flexible style allows the capture shaft to be steered comfortably towards the sound source. A small factor against it is that the microphone itself obstructs the visibility of the speaker a little and that many times it needs no less closeness to capture properly.

Today we will tell you a successful experience to solve this type of problem.

Relacart Proyecto

In early November 2021, an integrative customer called us and said that he should look for an audio solution for Wuhan Governorate, where a microphone system for 24 people was required in a conference room.

One condition is that they were not the typical gooseneck microphones because users feel uncomfortable using that type of format, since the microphone has to be well focused towards the speaker's mouth to be able to capture good audio, if the speaker turns his head or gets up from his seat, his message will not be heard well.

Another reason that the integrator mentioned to us is that when they talk among the participants, being seated in the room in front of their microphones, the gooseneck is a bit visually invasive, since it covers part of the face making it a little difficult to see between the speakers. Those aspects needed to be considered and he asked us to help him find an appropriate solution.

Dante Spoken Here

After analyzing the customer's needs, we offered the solution including the MAS-D microphone, which incorporates several capsules in array configuration. It has a profile of very little relief, in addition, its wide range of capture allows the speaker to speak standing or turning his head while speaking, without affecting the quality of the sound.

Another advantage of the Relacart MAS-D is its Dante connectivity, which allows the audio signal to be digitally transported over long distances without deterioration.

Additional features:

  • Durable metal structure, which effectively blocks interference caused by other electronic equipment.
  • 16 internal capsules with array formation that allow a capture at 80 cms away and 30 cms wide.
  • 4 operating modes: turn on-on, turn on-mute, PTT(press and hold to talk), PTM(press and hold to mute).
  • RJ45 connection, powered by POE and Dante network audio transmission.
  • Compatible with DanteMic Relacart Software, you can control remotely from a PC.

The integrator accepted our proposal and took the microphone to his client to put it to the test. Finally the user liked the solution and was very satisfied.
