Red Rooster Overtown, which opened in November 2020, brings back the spirit and elegance of Red Rooster Harlem, owned by prestigious chef and restaurateur Marcus Samuelsson, and brings its magic to Miami. Red Rooster Overtown, which occupies the space of a billiards room that belonged to the late night promoter Clyde Killes, aims to return the venue to its glory days with a renewed menu and a good dose of musical entertainment.
To help make music an unforgettable experience, DAS Audio speakers have been installed throughout the venue.
Electronic Designs LLC, a design and assembly company specializing in professional sound, computer technology and audiovisual installations for commercial markets, took care of the installation of DAS sound systems. The installation includes models from the catalogs corresponding to the Quantum, Factor-8, Artec and Ceiling series of DAS Audio. Jon Graney, president of Electronic Designs, spoke about the project and the reasons why DAS Audio speakers were installed.
The facility comprises a total of six areas spread throughout the restaurant. Among them, the main and upper floors. The effectiveness of the speakers we chose for both ads and music playback, regardless of where customers might be at any given time, was vitally important. Music plays a pivotal role in the personality of Red Rooster Overtown, which moves between jazz and R&B."
The neuralgic points of the place are the bar and the main dining rooms. For those spaces, Graney installed a combination of Quantum Q-43-T DAS, reinforced with Q-10 subwoofer systems. Ideal for fixed installations in premises, this combination of speakers offers a round sound and takes nuances – all while maintaining a compact design. In the main dining room, DAS Q-23-T was chosen together with Q-10 subwoofer systems.
In the dining room of the outdoor patio, DAS Q-23-T speakers reinforced with Q-10 subwoofer systems were installed. In the outdoor side dining room and play area, Graney opted for DAS Audio's Factor-8 speakers. These boxes are ideal for both vertical and horizontal installation, and offer powerful, powerful high-definition sound.
On the top floor, the Electronic Designs team used a combination of Artec-306 DAS boxes attached to the Quantum Q-10 subwoofer systems. And, to ensure that their customers could listen to the music from anywhere, DAS CL-6 ceiling speakers were installed in the bathrooms.
