The company Soundtec, aimed at achieving high levels of customer satisfaction by bringing technological innovations and proposing comprehensive solutions, participated in the 31st edition of the traditional event, the most important in its field in the entire region.
As every year, from November 7 to 9, Capershow was held at the Costa Salguero Center, an event organized by CAPER, the Argentine Chamber of Manufacturers and Integrators of Professional Audiovisual Equipment.
Soundtec participated for the second consecutive time with its stand, in which it presented the novelties and the latest launches of some of the brands it represents and markets.
During the three days, the company's staff answered questions and queries, while establishing new links with customers, visitors and leaders in the sector.
On the other hand, and to crown the company's participation in Capershow 2023, a workshop was held on 'Fundamentals and principles of operation of Audio Dante. Use and applications of Audinate products'.
The meeting was led by Miguel García, Senior Technical Training Manager for Latin America at Audinate, and Gabriel Arena, Engineering Manager at Soundtec.
ConsorcioTec spoke with Alejandro Arena, Commercial Manager of Soundtec, about participation in the event.
What is the balance of Soundtec's participation in Capershow?
AA: It's the second time we've participated in the show and the result was very positive. This year, despite the economic situation, we had a larger stand, in which we presented the novelties of several of our represented and marketed brands: Soundtube, Audinate, Crestron, Atlona, Rockustics, Phase Tech, Solid Drive and Soundsphere.
In addition, we gave a workshop to a full house on the third day of Capershow on Audio Dante together with Miguel García, Senior Technical Training Manager of Audinate for Latin America.
What were the highlights of Soundtec's work in 2023?
AA: 2023 was a year of growth and expansion for Soundtec, as we managed to get more and more end users and integrators to adopt the solutions of the brands we represent in Argentina as a standard.
In a way, Capershow was the place where we met with our customers to close the year, to show them the new products, the ones that are going to be a trend the following year and obviously to see each other's faces, which in some cases only happens on occasions like this, since many times distance or time does not allow us to do it as often as we would like.
What are the main projects or prospects for the company for 2024?
AA: At Soundtec we always take care to provide our customers with a product that is different from the market standard, so that they can differentiate themselves from the rest and obtain additional features that are often unexpected. In this sense, we are also working on incorporating some new products and new brands to be able to continue expanding the portfolio we currently have. And, along these lines, we also expect 2024 to be a year that maintains the trend of expansion and growth of recent years.
What measures do you think are important for the Government to take for the audiovisual industry?
AA: It is known that Argentina, in recent years, has suffered policies of restriction for imports and acquisition of foreign currency, which meant that all importing companies have to work much harder to achieve the same result. And this not only complicates the work in companies, but also raises costs. We hope that the new government that has just taken office will focus on these situations as promised and can solve these issues so that the import process can be simplified again, which will allow us to be much more up to date with the latest developments worldwide.
