Bolide's state-of-the-art facial recognition and video analytics

Facial recognition is a very effective and fast method for biometric and contactless identification that is used to recognize people's faces and is already present in hundreds of countries.

Today, facial recognition technology is most often used in video surveillance systems and access controls, in conjunction with a wide variety of mobile platforms and cloud services.

How does the Facial Recognition system work?

In principle, a facial recognition system can be described as a face comparison process that the camera captures and compares with a database of previously saved and identified images of reference faces.

Facial Recognition Technology

Normally, the Facial Recognition system consists of a CCTV camera and software that performs image analysis. Facial Recognition software is based on image processing and the calculation of complex mathematical algorithms that require a video recorder with special characteristics of what is normally required for conventional video surveillance systems. The power of this video recorder is necessary to analyze the images and process the database efficiently and accurately.

Special attention should be paid to cameras that have the necessary technology to pre-process the images directly on the device, since they greatly speed up the response times, comparison and accuracy of the Facial Recognition made in the video recorder.

Features of Bolide's Video Analytics and Facial Recognition with its iPacAI V2.0 line and NDAA compatible

Facial Detection and Recognition:  Compared to the first generation Artificial Intelligence, the new version collects and calculates the values of the analytics by performing the comparison directly in the camera to reduce the load of the NVR by performing the process previously and accelerating the recognition process.

Human and Vehicle Detection:  Simultaneous Human and Vehicle Form Detection.

Intelligent Motion Detection:  In the daily use of this function many false alarms are generated, such as the movement of trees or activity of small animals or climatic changes. This function allows to identify only human activity by reducing these false alarms.

Heat Map:  It is a graphical representation of the data represented by colors. The camera's heatmap feature is usually used to analyze visit times and customer dwell time in a configured area.

Facial assistance for companies and offices:  Bolide's NDAA IP cameras and NVR systems come integrated with an intelligent iPac AI 2.0 Facial Assist system that allows business owners to use their surveillance cameras to track employee attendance and be notified if someone is late or leaves the premises. Late arrivals and early departures from the company can be linked to an email notification or trigger an alarm to alert management and record keeping.

All the data captured by Bolide video analytics can be exported in an Excel spreadsheet for reporting.
