Among the many benefits that ConsorcioTec's SME partners can enjoy, one of the most striking is having the opportunity to do international business, thanks to the cooperation agreement with the largest network of integrators for security in the United States: PSA Security, and its sister network for audiovisual integrators, USAV.
PSA Security defines itself as the largest consortium of system integrators in the world, as well as the most progressive in North America.
PSA members have more than 400 branches and employ around 7,500 industry professionals. In addition, they are responsible for $4.5 million annually in professional security and audio-visual installations.
International referral agreements is the name given to this option to carry out business between PSA Security and ConsorcioTec's partner integrators in Latin America, which opens the possibility of developing projects between countries.
Max Jaramillo, CEO of ConsorcioTec, details "I wanted to investigate what was in terms of purchasing groups in our low-voltage sector and in the U.S. there are at least half a dozen well-established groups in that type of field. Our experience is both in electronic security and multimedia systems, and it turns out that PSA Security and USAV are sister companies. We wanted to investigate with the idea that we want to expand this business concept to Latin America, since we have the knowledge and they supported us, with the aim of internationalizing our business system".
How does it work?
Eventually, a member of the Network of Integrators for Security (PSAV Security) or the Network for Audiovisual Integrators (USAV) may require installation work in Latin American countries, so they will look for a ConsorcioTec integrator to execute their project collaboratively.
On these occasions, the group is responsible for effectively achieving this interaction between affiliates, offering the possibility for an integrator from a specific country to carry out the required task.
"PSA Security has hundreds of technology integrators in the United States. However, many of our clients are multinationals that need to implement projects in Latin America and having a network of trusted partners is paramount to the success and fulfillment of the projects," says Chris Salazar, Vice President of Technology Partners at PSA Security.
For his part, Jaramillo highlights that this international cooperation agreement "allows us to strengthen ties with two recognized entities in the field of Group Purchasing Organizations (GPO), learn from them and finally help each other in the development of the industry. I am confident that the agreement will boost the integrators' sales in Latin America."
Bill Bozeman, former CEO of PSA Security, involved in the negotiation, said: "As we seek to increase our international presence, growth in Latin America is a top priority. The excellent reputation of ConsorcioTec and its partners made the decision to partner easy."
In this sense, ConsorcioTec's presence in Latin America is consolidated in countries such as Mexico, Colombia, Chile, Argentina and Peru, also passing through Bolivia, Ecuador, Venezuela, Panama, Costa Rica, Guatemala, the Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico and Uruguay, without leaving behind the United States.
All our partners with a presence in each of these countries could execute collaborative projects with PSA Security. This, "after determining the set of resources and thus deciding the best path for the delivery of the project, based on a schedule and taking into account costs / rates and material requirements," explains Salazar.
Refunds, another of the great benefits of ConsorcioTec
It should be remembered that another of the great benefits enjoyed by our partners is that of refunds, to which they are also entitled in case of entering into a business agreement with PSA Security.
The plans of the refunds vary between 3 and 5 percent on the purchases registered and the best thing is that there is no minimum limit of purchases for the integrators and in that sense, all can be registered.
The cuts are quarterly and once approved by the manufacturer, they are recorded directly in the associate's account.
"ConsorcioTec members can gain access through top-notch services, examined by the network of technology integrators. They can collaborate and share their best practices, and purchases made will get reimbursed under the conditions of the program," concludes Chris Salazar.
If you are not yet a member of the ConsorcioTec family, do not hesitate to access from this link to the affiliation form and start enjoying these, and all the benefits to which our associates are entitled.
