Get to know the AV projects nominated for the CALA Awards 2023

The 5 finalist companies have just been announced, which will compete for the title of "Best AV Project" in the CALA Awards 2023, an event that recognizes excellence in the audiovisual industry in Latin America.

After reviewing the projects submitted, the evaluation committee described the selection process as "exhaustive and challenging", due to the high number of participants and the level of innovation and creativity of the proposals. Next, a review is made of the five nominees for the award.

Technological Modernization of the Elliptical Hall and 10 committees of the House of Representatives, by Matizzo S.A.S.
The project included the supply and installation of hardware, as well as the development of conference and debate software for the Elliptical Hall: It includes 196 motorized multimedia units, composed of 15" and 17" screens, microphones, 50-centimeter gooseneck, speech request buttons and facial recognition cameras for authentication in the voting system. In addition, the distribution of audio signals, IP video, two 136" LED walls and 65" return monitors, professional audio system in the enclosure, automation system, wireless presentation system, professional cameras for live transmission of the plenaries and videoconferencing codec were included.

MIS Ceará modernization project, carried out by Convergint
In the MIS modernization project, Convergint was responsible for offering state-of-the-art technology and new ideas, which not only impacted the visitor experience by generating more interactivity, but also improved the management of digital archives and the preservation of the collection, an issue of great importance, especially since it is the cultural heritage of the city of Ceará.

Costanera Experience, by TRISON NECSUM
The audiovisual installation is located in Santiago de Chile and is an innovative work of digital art that combines content, interactivity, augmented reality and surround sound to create an immersive experience of 19 meters high. It is one of the largest facilities of its kind in Latin America and offers visitors a different and exciting experience.

 

Felipe Ángeles International Airport - APOC, by Nice High Technology in Visual Communication
The administration and control of the air terminal within AIFA Airport was concentrated in a strategic command and control center called APOC (Air Port Operations Center). The APOC consists of 6 main zones: Operations Control Center (CCO), (Airport Security Center (CSA), Emergency Operations Center (COE), Security/Network Operations Center (SOC/NOC), divisible meeting rooms and reception desk.

Technological Renewal Institute of the Federal Judiciary (IJF), by Technology Advisors and Consultants (ACT Group)
The intervention of the IJF was carried out by the ACT Group, which is one of the integrators affiliated to ConsorcioTec. The company carried out the technological renovation of the auditorium, three multipurpose rooms and the lobby, as well as six double rooms and two single rooms. In the auditorium, an integration was made to share the audio and video signal, so that the content generated there could be transmitted in the three multiple rooms and in the lobby.

The finalists will be present at the CALA Awards award ceremony, to be held within the framework of IntegraTEC Mexico, on August 17. The voting that will define the winning project is taking place online, on the official site of the CALA Awards.
