In the heart of Nashville's The Nations neighborhood, the innovative Urban Dog Bar has revolutionized the concept of entertainment for dog lovers by combining an off-leash park with a bar, café and a high-fidelity sound experience. The installation developed by Hazelwood Laboratories has chosen LEA's professional audio technology to provide both indoor and outdoor audio experience.
However, with an area of 1800 m², Urban offers heated bar areas, large outdoor play areas and a team of "Rufferes", ensuring a safe environment for all visitors. Prior to its opening, bar team Joseph Hazelwood, the founder of Hazelwood Laboratories, contacted a versatile sound system that includes ambient music, television sound, and wireless microphones, controlling areas in areas such as bar and outdoor playground.
"I use LEA amplifiers in all my projects because they fit my facility perfectly," Hazelwood said. "I like to simplify solutions and with LEA I don't need to look any further."
Hazelwood implemented the Connect Series 354 and Connect Series 704 models, 4-channel smart amplifiers with 350 and 700 watts per channel, respectively. These devices allow operation in high (70V/100V) or low impedance (Lo-Z) and have IoT connectivity and functions such as Smart Power Bridge. The system also offers remote control via the cloud using LEA Cloud, allowing the system to be managed from any location.
CS354 amplifiers provide sound in the indoor bar, restrooms and a side room, while CS704s power the sound system in the outdoor bar and perimeter speakers in the gaming area.
In addition, custom HX wall controllers were installed, which combine analog touch interaction with smart technology, allowing staff to control zones, volume, and sources independently via API calls to LEA amplifiers.
"Urban Dog Bar is a unique and very dynamic place. LEA amplifiers were the ideal choice, and I look forward to continuing to use them in future projects," concluded Hazelwood.
With this installation, Urban Dog Bar not only creates an inclusive space for dogs and their owners, but also positions itself as a benchmark in the integration of state-of-the-art sound technology in recreational spaces.
