Interview| UltimateX: the Latin American software that seeks to transform smart building management

Expired

International. The automation market in Latin America is in a moment of expansion. Solutions that were previously reserved for large-scale projects are now beginning to reach more companies thanks to regional developments. In this context, Soci Technology and Ultimate are working on the launch of UltimateX, a Building Management System (BMS) that promises to optimize the operation of smart buildings in the region.

Lucas Valencia, CEO of both companies, explains that his 18-year career in the sector allowed him to identify a recurring challenge: the high cost of operating management software. "When we sold smart buildings, we encountered a barrier, and that is that the OPEX for the operation of the software was very expensive. Customers acquired the initial license, but annual maintenance became unsustainable," he says.

Faced with this scenario, the team internally developed its own tool to manage buildings, which over time was consolidated as a product. Today, UltimateX is preparing to be distributed throughout South America using a digital model. "Distribution is online, there are no tariff barriers in Colombia and that makes it easier to reach more integrators and customers," adds Valencia.

Soci Technology also offers CRM and ERP solutions for business management, complementing its portfolio with an approach that integrates both business administration and infrastructure control.

Interest from manufacturers has also been a key factor in the evolution of UltimateX. "Manufacturers call us and tell us they want to be in the software. This has made it possible to expand capacities and guarantee greater compatibility with diverse teams," explains the executive.

To publicize the tool, the company will hold a webinar on September 10, at 10:00 a.m. Lima and Bogota time (9:00 a.m. in Mexico City, 11:00 a.m. in Santiago de Chile and 12:00 p.m. in Buenos Aires). During the session, participants will be able to learn about the genesis of the software, watch a live demonstration of the operation of a building, and participate in a round of questions.

Valencia will be accompanied by the product leader, who is currently coordinating its development and improvements in constant dialogue with customers and manufacturers. "The goal is for integrators to have affordable software that allows them to show greater value to their end customers," he says.

With this launch, Soci Technology and Ultimate seek to position UltimateX as a competitive alternative in the Latin American smart building market, offering companies and developers a tool that combines efficiency, scalability and easy access.
