With a population of 900,000, the city of Ningbo hosts the Nightclub Chain Dr. Oscar who has installed a DAS Audio system at its latest club located in the Beilun district.
The Dr. Oscar company has opened more than a dozen clubs across the country over the past three years, with its signature theater concept, state-of-the-art sound and lighting systems, and advanced scenography.

The nightclub chain invited the technical director of DAS Audio in Asia, Germán Rodríguez, to design a sound system for the new room, a rectangular space of 13 meters high totally diaphanous. "The room tends to generate acoustic problems," says Rodríguez who, together with the distributor of the Spanish brand for the Chinese leisure and entertainment market, Guangzhou Dasi Audio Equipment, provided a tailor-made audio solution, based on the characteristics of the space.

The main system for the central zone uses 12 Artec-320 line array systems with four Artec-315.96 point source systems as a delay and a total of 14 Vantec-218 subwoofers that are responsible for low frequencies. Two Artec-315.96 systems have been placed as stage monitors, while for the DJ booth action-M512 monitors have been chosen. All systems are processed with DAS DI100 4-channel digital amplifiers and PA series amplifiers.
"The solution offered by DAS Audio is very suitable for playing live music in clubs; it's a totally efficient system," says Zhou Zechu of Dasi Audio. "Without using a hugely powerful amplifier we achieved high levels of SPL compared to other speaker systems I have used.
Also, I only have to use the default parameters of the digital amplifier, and I rarely need equalizers or compressors. Just spend a little time adjusting and correcting the position of the speakers and the coverage and that's it. I keep the SPL below 120dB, as I don't want to hurt the listening experience of artists and audiences. At the end of the day, we want them to stay at the club for a long time."

Headquartered in Valencia, Spain, DAS Audio is one of the largest manufacturers of professional sound systems, amplifiers, signal processing and complementary materials.
