Fouet México integrator of electronic security solutions and member of ConsorcioTec, listed as one of the best in Mexico by the magazine Ventas de Seguridad, celebrated 20 years of being in the market on December 12.
Of this anniversary, in a LinkedIn post, Fouet highlighted some of its achievements, of which it highlights that to date it has served more than 5 thousand customers, has sold more than 50 thousand cameras and 2 million meters of cable. It also has 32 facilities in different Mexican states, in addition to sales in Colombia, Ecuador, Honduras, Guatemala and Peru.
Likewise, Fouet is a platinum integrator of 5 brands, a country partner of 3 manufacturers and has already accumulated 4 HID partnet of the year awards.
We had the opportunity to ask Ricardo Carrasco, director of Fouet, a few questions about what these two decades mean for the company and where his company is now headed.
What is the general balance of Fouet's first 20 years?
Without a doubt it is very positive, although we officially celebrate 20 years as Fouet Mexico, we really celebrate 30, since since 1992 (when we were still university students) we had already founded our company that at that time was called Ingeniería Activa, which we sold to an American company, from there Fouet Mexico emerged.
In that same year we began to work with a desk that we collected from the garbage, which we then painted, my computer, the printer of our partner (Sofia) and the tool of the third musketeer (Carlos), in an office that was lent to us; today we have very interesting sales with a good reputation in the market and we have had proposals to buy Fouet, which we have rejected, but we are flattered to be on the radar of large organizations.
What are the challenges you think Fouet will face in the near future?
Like most Latin American companies, Fouet will have to face local and international volatility, factors that tend to slow down growth. But the fact that we are part of this region has also made us at Fouet resilient and innovative.
Where is Fouet heading next?
It is a complicated question, on the one hand we like to be a Boutique Integrator that selects its clients and projects, however, the market and manufacturers drive us to grow. Surely the balance will be the answer; We also want to strengthen our support for our employees and our community.
Does Fouet have any special plans to start 2023?
Yes, together with Hikvision we plan to establish the concept of Flagship stores (physical stores) in the main cities of Mexico. On the other hand, with HID's Connect and Mobile technologies for remote printing (of which we were the first integrator to implement it in Latin America) and virtual cards, we have interesting projects with the retail, education, and financial sectors.
And as the icing on the cake, for Fouet, being part of ConsorcioTec allows us to close a multi-year project with a transnational company.
